Here’s a bit more from the Kid A project. It’s the opening scene where the alien and Kid A are sitting in the forest. Kid A is powered down, and is starting to “wake up”. The alien is simply waiting for him to regain consciousness.
I wanted to do more to it, but I forgot my Wacom pen at my apartment and I’m here at my parents house for the week. I’m pretty upset about that. I really wanted to finish this before I went on vacation next week, but oh well. I guess I’ll just play Soul Calibur for the next few days. By the way, if anyone here plays, my PSN name is “liero116″.
I have yet to confirm the reason for the site being shut down, but it does seem likely that their massive popularity gained attention from people at Nintendo. I will say, howver, that I know the members fairly well and that they would not close the site down unless there was a very good reason to do so. I’ve read people speculating that they shut it down because they never intended to release the patch and that the whole project was a fake or a tease. This simply is not true. They are certainly not that type of people. You can all trust the reasons given by Raganook. The patch was always intended for distribution in the most legal way possible. It really is too bad that it wasn’t able to be released. I know a lot of people, myself included, that would have liked to see that happen.
I do ask, however, for this topic to not be discussed here. There are plenty of other forums for you to air your sorrows over this situation. There have only been a few comments here and there, but I want to nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand.
Ok so here’s some work on the new project. It’s a music video for Radiohead’s “Kid A”. For this project, I’m going to post all of my progress here on a regular basis. It’s the first animation I’ve done in HD and the first music video as well. On top of all that, It’s very different from anything I’ve ever done.
I’ve only got a few basic ideas of what’s going to happen in the video. The alien, and Kid A are friends and the rest of the Kid robots are going to interact with them in some way. I’m thinking Z would be the bad guy, but once again I’m not completely sure what I want to happen with this quite yet.
Aside from the story, I’m going to have minor background elements like blinking lights or luminescent insects flash in rhythm with parts of the music. So far, I’m looking forward to doing this!
On the left is an unnamed alien. Then there’s Kid A, M, X, and Z. The Kid robots aren’t quite fleshed out yet.

Here is the final culmination of two and a half months of hard work in the Kenny’s World project. All of the animation and designs were done by me; hand drawn in Flash CS3. Those fancy camera movements you’re seeing are achieved by the vCam actionscript tool. Voice overs were done by friends of mine, and a few of the smaller parts were done by myself. None of the dialog was scripted. The actors were only provided with a storyboard and the basic occurence of events and as a result, abolute insanity insues. Anyways, have a look, post a comment, tell me what you love / hate about it.
